About COMPASS Score Singapore

COMPASS Score Singapore is a free online tool that helps employers and foreign professionals estimate their COMPASS (Complementarity Assessment Framework) score before submitting a Singapore Employment Pass (EP) application.

Why We Built This

Since COMPASS was introduced by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in September 2023, the Employment Pass application process has become significantly more complex. Employers now need to assess candidates across six scoring criteria — salary, qualifications, diversity, local employment support, skills bonus, and strategic economic priorities — before submitting an application.

We built this calculator because we saw employers repeatedly caught off guard by COMPASS rejections. A failed EP application doesn't just cost time — it can mean losing a critical hire, paying recruitment fees twice, and delaying projects by months. Our goal is to give employers a clear picture of where they stand before they apply.

Our Approach

We track MOM policy updates, salary benchmark revisions, and Shortage Occupation List changes closely to keep the calculator as accurate as possible. Our scoring logic is based entirely on publicly available MOM guidelines and data.

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the personal data you enter — your salary, qualifications, and other details never leave your device.

Important Limitations

This tool provides indicative estimates only. MOM uses confidential internal benchmarks for actual COMPASS scoring that may differ from publicly available data. Our calculator is not a substitute for MOM's official Self-Assessment Tool (SAT), and a passing score from our calculator does not guarantee EP approval.
